Requirements
Knowledge & Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current registration (Mental Health, Adult, Child) appropriate to the job
Evidence of continuing professional development ENB 988 or equivalent mentorship practical based
Bsc in Nursing or Studying towards Diploma/Degree
Experience, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrable experience of working in mental health
Knowledge of Mental health Act
Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act (2005)
Experience of child and adult safeguarding procedures
Demonstrable experience of enhancing care through evidence based knowledge
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing
Skills in recording and presenting information
Experience of managing change
Supervising junior staff
Good Numeracy skills
Experience in medicines management
Ability to respond flexibly to the changing needs of the patients / residents
Understanding clinical information to formulate recommendations
Ability to work shifts (including evenings, weekends and public holidays)
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to deal with emotional and distressing situations
