Speech and Language Therapist

An exciting new position for an SLT has arisen at 15 bedded service that provides a comprehensive pathway of acute admissions services for men across the acute and PICU service, and longer term intensive treatment and support across the rehabilitation service. Our team works closely and collaboratively with service users, their families and the referrer to provide a seamless pathway from referral to discharge. The successful candidate will work to support individuals with a diagnosis of autism throughout their inpatient pathway.
Candidate Profile
We are look for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with;
Experience of the field of ASD and Mental Health Conditions.
Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support with an emphasis on person-centred planning.
Knowledge of key national drivers for inpatient services such as Transforming Care, 5 Good Communication Standards.
Qualification in Dysphagia management desirable.
Evidence of being a strong team player with a genuine desire to help others.
Good organisational and project management skills.
Ability to work flexibly in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Enthusiasm, motivation and forward thinking.You must be a Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered SLT.  Please note: successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Full induction training is given and you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring network for Specialist and Highly Specialist SLTs.   You will receive onsite clinical supervision and mentoring through a Highly Specialist SLT and your directly report tothe Hospital Manager and Director of SLT.
